Kaspa (KAS) uses the KHeavyHash algorithm — a proof-of-work algorithm designed to be ASIC-resistant at launch but now dominated by purpose-built hardware like the KS0 Ultra. Kaspa's blockDAG architecture enables near-instant confirmations and high throughput, making it one of the most actively developed proof-of-work projects.
