Product Details

The MicroBT WhatsMiner M30S is a proven SHA-256 Bitcoin mining workhorse, delivering 90 to 94 terahashes per second depending on batch variant. Built on Samsung's 8nm process node with 444 ASIC chips spread across three hash boards — 148 chips per board — the M30S achieves a strong efficiency of 34–38 joules per terahash, making it one of the most cost-effective SHA-256 Bitcoin miners available for Australian operators seeking reliable, field-proven hardware.

MicroBT released the M30S series in 2020 as a significant step forward from the M20S generation, delivering roughly double the hashrate of the M20S 70TH while improving per-chip efficiency meaningfully. The M30 platform established WhatsMiner's reputation for delivering real-world hashrate that closely matches stated specifications — a distinction that matters when purchasing used or secondary-market units. The M30S remains widely deployed in commercial Bitcoin mining facilities globally due to its combination of hashrate density, reliability, and the flexibility of the 200–277V input range.

Like all WhatsMiner units, the M30S ships with a built-in 3500W flat-profile PSU mounted on top of the chassis. The redesigned flat PSU profile sits 15mm lower than earlier WhatsMiner generations, reducing rack height. 200–277V AC input covers Australian 240V single-phase supplies and international industrial circuits without any step-down transformer. The H3 control board handles thermal management and fan control automatically, keeping the machine within its safe operating window of –5°C to 40°C. Connect power and Ethernet, locate the IP via your router, enter pool credentials, and you're hashing Bitcoin within minutes.

At 34–38 J/TH, the M30S is best suited to Australian miners with access to electricity at or below $0.10–$0.12/kWh. Compatible with all major SHA-256 mining pools including Foundry USA, F2Pool, Antpool, ViaBTC, and OCEAN. For Australian miners, F2Pool and Antpool offer strong Asia-Pacific server latency.
